So we all probably got at least one new sweater/pair of pants/nightgown/pair of boots for Christmas, right? And I'm pretty sure there is an older version of that gift lingering in your closet, right?
Well, Hot Mamas, it's time for "out with the old, in with the new."
I dare you all to crawl through all the clutter, pick one thing...just one thing, you can do it...and send it on it's way! It will feel great to free up some space while getting rid of something that doesn't fit, is way out of style, or you've been keeping out of obligation because Aunt Gertrude gave it to you for your birthday. Goodwill, trashcan, rag pile...you pick. Just get rid of it!
How can we be a Hot Mama if our closets don't reflect our own personal style? Susan at Friday Style wrote a really great post about this which has inspired me to thoroughly examine every article of clothing I own. But until that magical day comes around when I have an hour or two to myself, I will be getting rid of this black fleece. I love it and it's super easy to get dressed by just pulling this on with a pair of jeans. But it is constantly covered with dog hair, baby drool, and squished bananas which all show up so nicely on black fleece.
How about you? It's your turn now! Are you up for the challenge? Feel free to post a link to your post here in the comments so all the other Hot Mamas can be encouraged by you!
And don't forget to enter the Honesty Contest! You only have until Friday!

Actually... I did not get any new clothes for Christmas. But it is time to sift through the closet and get rid of the stuff I don't wear anymore. Thanks for the reminder!
I need to get rid of a few things that no longer fit and definitely a hideous purple sweatshirt that says "World's Coolest Aunt". I've never worn it and it's sure not Hot Mama material!
Since we're moving, I've done just this thing. However, if I went through my closet and threw away everything that just isn't my style, I'd literally have only 2-3 items left. I REALLY need to go shopping.
You'd be proud of me S....I threw out every single bra and undies I had in my marriage, burned them, and bought all new ones...and they are all cute, didn't come in a plastic package, and make me feel like a hot momma :-).
Then, I went shopping with a friend (another "Sarah" blog commenter LOL) and she asked me, "are you getting a Hot Mama Revolution shirt"?? She didn't know we both read your blog!!! (Sarah K, if you're reading...here's a shout out to ya!"
I love it, Tia!!
Looks like the Hot Mama Revolution is taking over the world! So did you get a "HMR" shirt?
